Inspiring words for the hopeful: but will my run go okay?

There are many topics to write about in blogs.  Yesterday I threw my own rant towards my feelings on The Rolling Stone's Magazine Cover.  Again, love the iconic magazine but the decision wasn't so great to feature a picture glamourizing a suspected terrorist.  Simply because it angered and  insulted many.  But the world goes on and so do we!

Today however is a new day!!! I'm going running!!! Gotta get in those few miles before I head down to North Carolina.  Nothing better than trying to shape that 6 pack...6 pack-ish...4 pack-ish...okay 2 pack-ish?...24 hours before heading down to the beach.  But hey after being an avid procrastinator through my college years, I am confident in my last minute skills. My diploma can vouch for that!  But my question of the day to others is...are you doing something today that will get you closer to your dream coming true?  I can't say they will come true tomorrow.  I can't say they will come true. Because let's face, I may be adorable...but...I'm not God...nor a god...so I can't determine your future but I can give you words!!!  Is it that you want to be a great lawyer...do you want to be a cartoonist working for Disney?  Do you want to be a taxi driver?  Whatever it is that you want to do whether you are young or old...it's never too late. And you can achieve it. Whether it's that one phone call you have to make to someone to get you to the next level or just applying to graduate school...it can be done but the drive for it has to come from you!!! Because with that drive will come accomplishment. As a singer songwriter it's very easy for me to fall into the hands of someone's help.  The belief of your success will only live and breath in you.  It's up to you to nurture that and go for it 105 out 100%.  How bad you want something will begin to show eventually just keep reaching for the stars!!!  Whoa, I feel the preach comin' out of me.  Well, I wish to whomever's eyes this reaches (did I get that right english teacher's??) that you have a beautiful day wherever you are!!!

P.S. - Let us bow our heads...that my run today does not lead me down that path.  That path of a heat stroke damnation. BYEEEE!!!!

Rolling Stone's Magazine Cover: Bad Press is any Press (What are your thoughts?)

What does it mean to succeed? I found out this morning that the Rolling Stone's magazine featured the suspect of the Boston bombing this past April.  The young kid is featured on the cover, glorified as a model?  Is he a model?  Looks of it shows he is.  On the contrary...this suspected terrorist is just the opposite.  He is suspected to be behind the awful bombings that happened during the Boston Marathon.  Him and his brother are believed to have set the bombs off.  So why, Rolling Stones magazine are you blasting his a beautiful superstar!!!  Well respected artists such as Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix, Sandra Bullock, Taylor Swift...PRESIDENT OBAMA...why does he get to share the cover when others have made accomplishments on the other side of the spectrum.  Meshing terrorism with IDOLS is not a good message.  If someone commits a terrorist act...now one will be glorified.  I understand that bad press is any press but couldn't this magazine issue something less offensive.  Terrorist and murder is a pretty big deal.  At least put an ugly picture of him. Because at the end of the day, what message are they sending...  Girls look at him as a beautiful boy aside from a terrorist.  There ain't nothing beautiful about what he did.  SO!  It seems succeeding now a days consists of doing anything, including getting away with murder (pun intended) because to be featured on the cover of a magazine is an accomplishment.  He must have done something right.  Right?
